Carisa Casian

Occupational Therapist and Coordinator of Physical Education

 
 

Carisa is a born and raised Hoosier. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Indiana University. Following graduation, she went on to pursue a certificate in Massage Therapy before completing her dual masters degree in Occupational Therapy and Bioethics at Midwestern University in Arizona. Over the last 17 years Carisa has worked in various settings including clinics, schools and homes to support children and families aged from birth to 22 years. She has background work in ABA, Hippotherapy and aquatic therapy. Carisa has been on the search for a space that encompasses the perfect mix of school based, home based and clinic based therapy for children of all ages. Helix has been the perfect fit for her. She is excited to embark on a new journey this school year with the additional title of “PE/Movement” specialist. In her free time, Carisa loves to travel, explore nature by foot and bike, and spend time with her family in San Francisco.
