Jamie was born and raised in the East Bay, CA and continues to reside here. She received a Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University in Massachusetts. Prior to that, she attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where she completed BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Jamie was drawn to Helix because of its collaborative spirit, small staff to student ratio, and strengths-based approach to teaching. She feels lucky to work at a school that prioritizes students’ emotional and sensory regulation, which is foundational to academic success. Jamie is so excited to use the new large gym space, equipped with suspended swings, crash pads, and more, for OT sessions! In her free time, she likes to cook, dance, and cuddle her cat, Lemon.
