Josie was raised in a military household and has lived all over the United States. She attended Oregon State University and got her BS in Kinesiology with a focus in Occupational Therapy. She then moved to the Bay Area with her husband and attended Loyola Marymount University to get her MA in Ed Specialist. Her background has primarily been in trauma informed care with students with behavioral needs. She loves engaging with students and finding joy in stressful situations through humor and silliness. Josie is driven in creating a classroom environment with academic rigor and playfulness. In her free time she likes to mountain bike, play with her dogs, and read as many books as she can.
